From the new Central Commodity System (CCS) bulk seed tanks on top to the high-speed VacuMeter[TM] system at the back, this new split-row planter is built to do one thing: get your crops in the ground quickly.Start with the Central Commodity System. Two tanks per planter carry up to 100 bushels of bulk corn, soybean, cotton or milo seed for fewer stops and faster refilling. A maintenance-free air delivery system supplies each row-unit with clean, undamaged seed for more complete germination. When it''s time to refill, you''ll be running again in no time, thanks to the convenience of centrally located tanks and a sturdy steel filling platform. Most augers dig about 3 ft. deep, but for deeper holes, ask for an extension rod (Photo 5), usually for no extra fee. Deeper holes are typically required for footings for decks or other structures attached to houses located in very cold climates where frost depths exceed 3 ft. An extension rod will get you down as far as 4 ft.After you''ve made your choices, ask the clerk to check the gas and engine oil levels, and demonstrate starting and operating procedures. Also make sure you have all of the shear pins (Photo 5) that lock extension rods and augers to the power head. By the way, you''re usually responsible for furnishing your own fuel unless the unit you''re renting is a two-stroke model that requires premixed fuel. Though light in weight, Airbor magnetic drill has a powerful 1.6-hp air motor and 1,600-lb magnetic holding strength. With its extra rack, stroke length is extended to 10 1/4 in. Annular cutter capacity is up to 2 1/16 in. diam. Geared chuck adapter converts the unit to a standard drill press. The Slugger Air Force pneumatic drill, at 24 lbs, 6 1/4" high, is useful for confined area drilling. The drill''s features include a permanent magnet that turns on or off by air power, a cutter capacity of up to 1 1/16" diameter x 3/4" depth and the ability to use ShortSlugger cutters and frame cutters.
